Who I help
Seeking Serenity Therapeutic Services helps people just like you, to find their stability in the middle of the overwhelm of life. You might be the one who holds everything together. You’re capable, responsible, and high-functioning — but internally overwhelmed. Living the life you want does not have to come at the cost of your personal well being. I am committed to helping individuals find healing and balance in their lives. I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives and promote mental well-being.
Some of the people I work with include:
-
Professionals who are experiencing burn out
-
Individuals who can no longer sustain the demands of their own expectations or those around them (Perfectionism, People Pleasing, Co-dependency)
-
Individuals struggling with the impact of living with ADHD
-
Individuals who despite their best efforts, are still unable to reconcile the impact of past trauma and/or abuse

What to Expect
Free Consultation
Welcome! I offer a free 30 minute consultation to discuss your needs and how I can support you. Research has shown that the rapport between a therapist and client greatly increases therapeutic outcomes. I firmly believe in working with a therapist that helps you to establish a sense of trust and confidence. If you decide I am the therapist for you I will send you intake paperwork and assessments to prepare for your initial evaluation after our consultation.
Initial Evaluation
In your evaluation, we will spend time getting to know one another, establish the reason behind the referral, and identify potential goals. Depending on the reason for the visit, our first session will most likely be an informal question and answer period, concluding with determination of continued services. Time permitting, treatments and recommendations may be discussed.
Treatment Plan
Within the first few sessions, a ‘treatment plan’ will be established to help clarify and target your personal goals. The treatment plan is created collaboratively and is updated as treatment progresses. The length of treatment varies and it is not uncommon for some individuals to utilize therapy for longer periods of time than others.
Therapeutic Process
Until one experiences the healing benefits of therapeutic interactions, it is difficult to adequately describe how it is beneficial. Exploring your most personal experiences in a safe, therapeutic setting with a trusted individual allows you to become intimately familiar with how your experiences have shaped the person that you are and empowers you to choose how you want to continue showing up in your life moving forward. Understanding our behaviors, patterns and how we react to the people and situations in our lives increases our self-awareness in a way that can bring about significant freedom and satisfaction.
